Vicenza, 22 December 2025 – Supporting emerging talents, encouraging creative thinking and the ability to integrate technological innovation and conscious design into jewellery creation: this is the mission of the new and highly anticipated 10th edition of the PROGOL3D Design Contest, promoted by Progold S.p.A.

Based in Trissino, in the province of Vicenza, Progold S.p.A. is a reference point in the development and manufacturing of alloys and master alloys for the jewellery industry, while also offering, through its Additive Manufacturing division, the production of precious metal semi-finished components, precious metal powders for additive manufacturing, and the transfer of know-how for the integration of L-PBF technology, reaffirming its commitment to innovation and to fostering creativity among new generations.

The PROGOL3D Design Contest is an international competition that each year brings together young talents from selected jewellery design schools worldwide. Created to promote creativity, innovation and experimentation in contemporary jewellery, the contest offers students a concrete opportunity to engage with advanced manufacturing technologies, gain visibility for their projects, and connect with leading luxury brands.

The official partner of the 2026 edition is Pomellato, one of the most contemporary and distinctive jewellery Maisons on the international scene, long committed to supporting creativity and the training of future generations.

The theme of this year’s edition, “Free Volume – Pomellato Earrings in the Additive Era,” invites young designers to explore new forms, volumes and expressive possibilities of the earring, reinterpreting Pomellato’s distinctive design language through the potential of additive manufacturing technologies and the application of Design for Additive Manufacturing (DfAM) principles, using 18K rose gold, platinum and titanium.

The 2026 edition recorded a strong level of participation, with 280 projects submitted by 165 students from 14 international higher education institutions, confirming the growing interest in the contest and in additive manufacturing applied to jewellery design.

The twelve finalists, selected from some of the most prestigious schools in the field worldwide, will take centre stage during the Award Ceremony on Friday, 16 January 2026, at the Teatro Palladio at Vicenzaoro. This special event, marking the tenth edition of the contest, will celebrate talent, creative vision and the ability to interpret the future of jewellery design.

During the ceremony, the winners of the two awards will be announced: the Audience Choice Award 2026, selected through online voting, and the Technical Jury Award 2026, assigned by a technical jury composed of experts from Progold, Pomellato and Platinum Guild International. The finalist creations will also be exhibited at the Progold S.p.A. stand – TGOLD Hall 9, Booth 221, throughout the fair

Once again this year, Platinum Guild International, the organisation dedicated to promoting platinum jewellery and the development of advanced technologies in the sector, confirms its support for the contest, reinforcing the dialogue between technological innovation, know-how and education.
