Quality, Ethics & Environment
An integrated system for sustainable growth
Sustainability accompanies every stage of our evolution: metallurgical innovation, process efficiency and responsibility towards people and the environment.
Our certifications
Organised according to the three ESG pillars: Environment, Social, Governance.
ISO 14001:2015
ISO 14001 is the foundation of Progold's Environmental Management System and defines the structured approach through which the company identifies, monitors and improves its significant environmental aspects. Certified since 2011, it ensures a working method based on continual improvement and on the prevention of pollution at source. All potentially impactful activities are subject to monitoring and control in compliance with national and local legislation. For Progold, ISO 14001 is not a formal requirement, but the framework that brings together the circular economy, emissions management and the responsible use of resources.
ISO 14064-1:2018
ISO 14064-1 certifies Progold's ability to quantify and report its greenhouse gas emissions accurately and transparently, covering all direct and indirect emissions. This tool is strategic for strengthening internal awareness, improving the quality of information and managing climate risks over time. It also provides the methodological basis on which Progold is building progressive climate targets and future reduction and offsetting initiatives.
ISO 14067:2018
ISO 14067, obtained in 2024, extends Progold's commitment from measuring organisational emissions to quantifying the product carbon footprint. It makes it possible to quantify the climate impact associated with the life cycle of alloys and master alloys, providing customers in the jewellery sector with reliable, verified information on the environmental impact of materials.
UNI/PdR 88:2020
UNI/PdR 88:2020, linked to ISO 14021, certifies the recycled metal content of Progold's products and ensures the accuracy and transparency of its environmental self-declarations. Since 2020 the company has built part of its competitiveness on the exclusive use of recycled metals: 100% of precious metals and a growing share of non-precious metals come from recycled sources.
RJC CoC
The RJC Chain of Custody certification ensures the responsible sourcing of precious metals throughout the entire supply chain. A member of the Responsible Jewellery Council since 2011, Progold obtained the CoC for gold and palladium in 2012, extending it to silver in 2019. The certification ensures that the precious metals used come from traceable and responsibly managed sources, excluding materials of uncontrolled origin. For precious metals, Progold sources exclusively from suppliers compliant with RJC standards, complemented by the annual due diligence required for ethical traceability. The CoC strengthens the company's commitment to sustainability and transparency and links directly to the circular economy model, as the precious metals purchased are at once recycled and certified along the chain of custody.
SA8000:2014
Defines social accountability practices that ensure fair working conditions and protection of workers' rights.
RJC CoP
The RJC Code of Practices certification defines responsible business practices covering human and labour rights, the environment and business ethics. A member of the Responsible Jewellery Council since 2011, Progold adheres to international standards that promote sustainability, social responsibility and environmental protection throughout the value chain. The internal RJC Policy, aligned with the OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains of Minerals from high-risk areas, sets out the commitment to operate transparently, preventing any form of human rights violation, corruption or social risk in the supply chain.
ISO 45001:2023
ISO 45001 governs Progold's Occupational Health and Safety Management System and reflects the company's commitment to protecting people. The system, verified through external certification, covers all employees and is based on the identification and control of the risks present in the workplace.

Associative entities, including limited companies, may be held liable in relation to certain offences or violations committed in their interest or to their advantage by individuals in senior management positions or by employees, external collaborators and consultants, and third parties. On 30/08/2023, the Board of Directors of Progold S.p.A. (hereinafter "the Company") approved its Organisation, Management and Control Model pursuant to Legislative Decree no. 231/2001 (hereinafter "the Model"), attached to this document, in order to satisfy the conditions necessary for exemption from the entity's administrative liability, as provided for by Legislative Decree 231/2001. The Company has also adopted a Code of Ethics, likewise attached to this document, which requires that all business activities be carried out in accordance with the law, according to the principles of reliability, dependability, professionalism, integrity, honesty, fairness, respect and transparency, as well as in respect of the interests of its external stakeholders. These principles underpin the Company's commitment to uncompromising ethical conduct, aimed at maintaining a solid and recognised reputation. Pursuant to Article 6, paragraph 1, letter b) of Legislative Decree no. 231/2001, the Company has established its Supervisory Board (Organismo di Vigilanza – OdV) as a collegial body, endowed with full and autonomous powers of initiative and control over the Company's activities. The OdV is tasked with overseeing the effectiveness, the updating and the observance of the Model adopted by the Company and its constituent elements, in order to prevent the offences from which the entity's administrative liability may arise. So that the OdV can fulfil its mandate, the Company has established an information-exchange system whereby employees, as well as those who cooperate in pursuing the Company's objectives, are required to promptly inform the Supervisory Board of any violation of the Model and its constituent elements, as well as of any other aspect potentially relevant to the application of Legislative Decree 231/2001 (e.g. illegal or ethically improper situations). All communications to the Supervisory Board (reports or periodic information flows) must be made exclusively through the dedicated whistleblowing portal, accessible at the following link: [insert link]. This channel is deemed suitable to guarantee the confidentiality of the whistleblower's identity through electronic means. The privacy notice regarding the processing of personal data relating to reports is available within the portal itself. Should the recipients of the Model and the Code of Ethics engage in conduct that violates the principles and rules contained therein, they will be subject to the disciplinary measures provided for by the 231 Sanctioning System, an integral part of the Model itself.

ISO 27001 certifies Progold's Information Security Management System and protects the confidentiality, integrity and availability of company and customer data. The certification defines a structured approach to managing information security risks, access policies, business continuity and the protection of personal data.
ISO 9001:2015
ISO 9001, obtained in 2003, is the most well-established of Progold's certifications and represents the foundation of the Integrated Management System. It defines the criteria by which the company governs its processes, controls the quality of products and services and pursues customer satisfaction through continual improvement.
