Vicenza, October 2, 2025 – Progold S.p.A., an international leader in the production of alloys and master alloys for the jewellery industry and in precious metal additive manufacturing, officially announces its de-merger from the Bluclad Group, which has signed an agreement to be acquired by YKK.
Following this transaction, Progold will continue to be part of the LBO France portfolio, with no changes to its governance or management structure. The company will therefore remain on the growth path already established in recent years, consolidating its strategy of innovation and international expansion, with no impact on daily operations or on relationships with customers, partners, and suppliers.
"This transaction represents an important step for both companies, allowing Bluclad and YKK to develop new synergies in their sector, while Progold continues to strengthen its leadership with the support of LBO France," said Damiano Zito, Chief Executive Officer of Progold. "For us, nothing changes: our team, our values, and our vision remain the same, with the same determination to bring excellence and innovation to the global jewellery industry."
After contributing to the synergies with Bluclad in the galvanic sector for jewellery, Progold is now focusing its efforts on alloy development, on expanding its international business – with particular attention to the Asian market through ABI and on technological innovation through additive manufacturing. The relationship with Bluclad remains one of mutual respect and collaboration: Progold wishes Bluclad and YKK every success in this new challenge.
The transaction does not entail any changes to Progold’s shareholding structure, and the company will continue to benefit from the strength and expertise of LBO France, its reference shareholder since 2021.
